Here we try to show what has been happening recently at Hobbs' Ink. Please accept our apologies in advance if our updates are sporadic or if we let a particularly unique project - like the lighthouse on Lake Travis - linger on this page. But we'll try to update both text and photos from time to time.

We're proud to have recently had a house on the "Cool House Tour" sponsored by the Texas Solar Energy Society in cooperation with the world famous Austin Green Building Program. We feel the home, a central Austin remodel, tells a story of re-use and responsible building while also showing that an energy efficient and "green" project can be at least as beautiful, comfortable and occupant friendly as a "conventional" project.

The photos on this page will change, but, at any one time there are usually half a dozen or more of our remodel or custom home designs that are new or currently under construction. We'll also try to spotlight our buildings that, while of standard construction, are not what you'd think of as a "traditional home design". These may include our barn designs, workshops, casitas, guesthouses and others. Trusses Exposed! Hobbs' Ink custom designed these trusses, which were made to order and are shown here going up in a home next to Lake Travis.
